About how I work :
I get to meet such great people and it’s a real privelage to capture some of the most special moments in their lives and to be welcomed in like a friend. I take the task in hand seriously because you’ve trusted me with something very special- but I don’t take myself too seriously and will be laughing at myself as I crawl on the ground getting the shot that I want or pulling ridiculous faces to cheer up your toddler.
Whether its an outdoor family shoot, newborn session at home or a wedding - it’s real moments I’m there to find, and your story I’m telling. I can gently guide you but otherwise I’m observing and I hope you’ll forget about me.
About Me : I live in rural perthshire with my husband and two wee girls. It’s a stunning place to live and we can mess about in the loch on our doorstep any chance we get - but it’s also central enough that I’m not really too far from anywhere in the country.
I’ve been obsessed with taking photographs from a young age. I would make piles of scrapbooks and albums. A kind stranger gave me a canon film slr when I was 18 which probably put me on the path I’m on. I use digital equipment now but I’m still a canon girl!
Apart from looking through a lens my favourite other things are spending time with my little ones (- who are growing up so fast!) painting, making things, exploring Scottish islands, paddling about in a canoe and attempting (and often failing ) to keep plants alive in my garden.
